Katreena Cardenas is the owner of Estrelas do Samba School in Calgary. She teaches Samba, Salsa and an array of other Latin dances. Her style is youthful, elegant and full of surprises. "Despina the Belly Dancing Queen" is how she is called! She is one of Alma Lu Alma's most committed resident dancers. She also is one of the most prominent Belly dancers in Calgary and across Canada. Despina's style is unique and creative, as it combines European and Middle Eastern Classical movements of traditional Belly dancing. Despina is also a very talented dance choreographer.
